Please visit our new website by clicking on the following link: A well planned and thought out sign survey is essential to the success of a good signing scheme. Information gathered at this stage will be used for the final sign assessment of the building. We would usually ask for an initial discussion to assess the building. If it is a new build, this may be just with plans. An existing building will require an initial site visit and walk through. If there are existing signs, these will be discussed and any existing problems and comments will be taken into account. Following this we would carry out a full survey, including marking up a set of plans for the new proposed signs, taking detailed notes, and photographs where appropriate.
Survey photographs can reveal problems with lighting on existing signs.
They can also be used as a useful reminder as to why re-signing is necessary.
