We would normally ask you to provide three sets of plans for a project:-

One set for the site survey, to mark existing and proposed sign locations.
One set for the final proposal, clearly identifying proposed sign locations.
One set for the installation team to work from.

Plans are marked with numbers to show their proposed location and used to cross-reference with the sign schedule.
