Raised characters that can be read through touch (following the guidelines specification ) can be incorporated into the sign. Again, these do not affect the aesthetics of the sign, but can be of great value to blind or partially sighted users.
A range of audible electronic signs are available including Radio Frequency, Infra Red, Hearing Loop and Push Button signs. These are in the early stages of development, and are currently on trial at various locations including, The Mall Shopping Centre, Bristol and Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent.
Very few projects do not require a "special" sign of some description and Bespoke Signs can be produced to a clients individual specification.
